KOTA SAMARAHAN: A public tip-off led police to bust a suspected cable theft activity at a commercial building here yesterday (Jan 13), with one suspect caught and another managing to escape.
The arrest was made during a routine crime-prevention patrol after members of the public reported two men allegedly cutting cables at Bukit Berangan Ria commercial area.
Kota Samarahan police chief Supt Damataries Lautin said a mobile patrol vehicle (MPV) unit moved in swiftly, but the suspects bolted upon realising police were closing in.

“However, officers managed to apprehend one man, while his accomplice fled the scene.
