KUCHING: Members of the public have been advised not to be fooled by a fraudulent investment advertisement that misuses the Minister for Women, Family and Community Development’s photo.

Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri condemned the unauthorised use of her image in the advertisement after discovering the matter yesterday (Apr 29).

She said a police report has been lodged at Gita police station by her media officer.

The Santubong MP stressed that she has never been involved in or given permission to any party to use her image for investment promotions, especially those aimed at deceiving the public.

“Do not trust the claims made in such advertisements.

“I urge the public not to fall for the tricks of scammers who are becoming increasingly daring in exploiting public trust,” she said.

She advised anyone who encounters the advertisement to report it immediately to the authorities or the respective social media platforms so that swift action can be taken.
