KUCHING: Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Law, MA63 and State-Federal Relations) Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali has called for patience and restraint as the High Court continues deliberations on the Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas) judicial review case.
When asked for updates after the Ziarah Kasih Programme on Tuesday (Feb 10) at Rumah Sri Kenangan Kuching, she declined to provide detailed commentary, stressing the importance of allowing the legal process to run its course.
“As of now, it’s still in the consideration of the High Court. I don’t think I need to comment. Let’s leave it to the process of the High Court.”
She issued a specific appeal to netizens and the public to reduce speculation and commentary while the case remains under judicial consideration.
“If possible, we should reduce the number of comments. Let the process of the High Court happen until it’s complete. Then we will know and follow up with what the High Court’s decision is.”
She explained that once the court concludes its deliberations, stakeholders will be better positioned to determine appropriate next steps.
“When it’s in the High Court, let the process happen until it’s complete. Until it’s complete, then we can see what the next steps are.”
