KUCHING: Pullman Kuching now has a fresh, new look after a major renovation that showcases the vibrant spirit, culture and creativity of Sarawak.

Interhill Hospitality, the hospitality arm of Interhill Group and owner-operator of owner-operator of three renowned Accor-branded hotels including Pullman Kuching, Pullman Miri Waterfront and ibis Melaka, said the facelift marks a new chapter for the five-star property located on the city’s hilltop.

Inspired by the beauty of Borneo and the warmth of Sarawakians, the hotel invites guests to check in where Kuching rises.

Pullman Kuching general manager Sunardi Song said the hotel continues to be a place where various journeys intersect, whether for business, leisure or milestone celebrations.

“Our transformation captures the Sarawakian way of connection, where every moment shared adds to the city’s spirit and every stay feels like coming home,” he said in a press release.

From the light-filled lobby to the grand ballroom and versatile meeting spaces, each part of Pullman Kuching has been designed to bring people together in harmony.

The new lobby draws inspiration from Sarawak’s lush forests, featuring layered textures, woven patterns, and warm lighting that echo the rhythm of nature.

Bathed in natural sunlight by day and softly illuminated at night, its glass ceiling enhances the sense of openness and transforms the space into a grand, light-filled sanctuary that reveals a different charm as evening falls.

Another centrepiece of the renovation is the grand ballroom, which draw design cues from the limestone formations of Gunung Mulu, creating an ambience that feels both majestic and intimate.

The ballroom can accommodate up to 1,500 guests for banquets or 2,000 guests for theatre seating, of which is ideal for both large-scale conferences and private functions. It can also be partitioned into two versatile spaces measuring 983 and 631 square metres respectively.

Dynamic, flexible, and infused with Sarawakian artistry, the meeting rooms ranges from 65 to 1,615 square metres.

Each space combines modern amenities with local craftsmanship, catered for executive meetings and small-scale events that bring people and ideas together.

Interhill Hospitality said the transformation reinforces Pullman Kuching’s position as a key destination for travellers, creators and newlyweds as the city continues to grow.
