KUCHING: Get ready for a night of fast riffs, raw energy, and sing-along anthems as Purrfect Goes Punk Vol.1 takes over Purrfect Studio this Saturday (June 28).
Starting at 7.30pm, this one-night-only gig promises a raucous celebration of punk rock and pop punk sounds, featuring a line-up of both legendary local bands and fresh faces in the scene.
Early bird tickets are available for just RM40 via the official link, while door tickets will be sold for RM50.
The event is organised by No Space Production.
“This event is a tribute to the punk spirit in Kuching, to bring back bands that have long been a part of the underground scene, while also creating a space for new acts to be heard.
“It’s about community, music, and celebrating the vibrant diversity of local sound,” according to No Space Production in a press statement.
The gig will feature Mono & Saturday Heroes, a veteran name in the indie underground since 1996; Mobydick, a fresh act making their debut on the local stage; and Funny Rabbits, a band once known for shaking up the Blast Off TV show scene.
Also returning to the stage is Happily Ever After, a decade-old punk rock outfit re-emerging with full force.
Other exciting acts include Popang, known for their catchy hooks and sing-along choruses; Automatic The Remote, bringing energetic and driving punk rhythms; Sequel Revealed, blending raw sound with powerful melodies; and Radak Nyawa, a unique local band that fuses energetic punk rock with cultural elements, performing many of their songs in Iban.
The event aims to unite fans both old and new. Whether you’re a longtime supporter of Kuching’s local music scene or just discovering it, Purrfect Goes Punk Vol.1 offers a welcoming space filled with heart-thumping music and meaningful community spirit.
