KUCHING: A family in Kampung Tengah Kalok, Pusa, was left homeless after their house was destroyed in a fire this morning.

The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said they received a report about the incident at 9:08 am and dispatched a team of firefighters from the Betong station to the scene.

“Upon arrival, the fire had completely destroyed the house.

“Firefighters worked to put out the flames using water from a nearby river,” said the statement today.

They added that the fire was brought under control by 11 am, and the operation concluded at 11.24 am.

Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were reported.

“The cause of the fire and the estimated losses are still under investigation,” it added.
