MIRI: Miri State Library (Pustaka) recently conducted an Information Literacy & Customers Day programme at SMK Merapok, Lawas.

The programme, held from April 29 to 30, was to disseminate information about the services offered by the Pustaka, especially online databases, scholarships offered in Malaysia and the Sarawak e-recruitment portal, as well as references and bibliographies for the students.

“In addition, the programme aimed to bring Pustaka Miri closer to the community as an information center and cultural centre by engaging students in Lawas, especially SMK Merapok students, through various activities including 3D Printer and 3D Pen activities, membership registration, sales of Sarawakiana Series, Wheel of Fortune quizzes and more,” Pustaka said in its press release.

Pustaka Miri added that it was actively engaging with the community, especially the northern Sarawak community, to disseminate information about the services offered, thereby promoting the library as their knowledge partner.

Schools or the general public who wish to learn more or organise similar programmes can contact the Miri Library at 085-422 525 or through its website www.pustaka-sarawak.com and its official social media platforms.
