SIBU: The Sarawak State Library (Pustaka) here, in collaboration with the Sibu Melanau Association, will take part in the Borneo Cultural Festival (BCF) 2025 by organising a series of engaging activities at the Sibu Town Square from July 3 to 12.
The 10-day programme will be held at the Malay/Melanau Pavilion, running daily from 5 pm to 10 pm.
In a press release, Pustaka Sibu said its participation aligns with its core function of promoting the dissemination of knowledge and information, as well as the appreciation of arts, culture, heritage, history and achievements of the state and its people.
Visitors can look forward to a variety of activities, including a Sarawakian exhibition on Melanau traditional attire, cultural performances featuring music, dance and singing, cooking demonstrations, traditional games, workshops and forums.
“We strongly encourage the public to take part in these activities to deepen their appreciation for the arts and strengthen awareness of Borneo’s rich and unique heritage,” it said.
Admission is free and open to all, regardless of age.
