KUCHING: Putra Samijaya emerged champions of the Datuk Henry Harry Jinep Challenge Trophy Tennis Invitational 2025 after defeating the Kuching District Lawn Tennis Association (KDLTA) 4–1 in the final held last Sunday at the MAKSAK Tennis Court here.
With the victory, Putra Samijaya took home RM3,000 in cash, the Challenge Trophy and gold medals.
The team from Singkawang, West Kalimantan, also made history by completing a championship hat-trick, having previously won the tournament in 2023 and 2024.
KDLTA, who finished as runners-up, received RM1,500 in cash and medals.
Meanwhile, Uplands Tennis Club (UTC) Red and Bau Tennis Club shared third place, each receiving RM750 and medals, while UTC Blue and the Samarahan Division Tennis Association shared fourth place, taking home RM500 each.
The closing and prize-giving ceremony was officiated by Deputy Minister of Transport Datuk Henry Harry Jinep.
