MIRI: A 10-foot long python was spotted underneath a water tank of a house in Lambir, here in the midst of a sweltering hot weather on Wednesday afternoon.

The 38-year-old house owner immediately contacted the Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) at around 2.48 pm after she spotted the python underneath the water tank.

The team arrived promptly, assessed the situation and then released the reptile to its wild habitat.

Miri is currently experiencing hot weather, prompting many reptiles to seek shelter in cool and shaded areas to escape the intense sun.

As temperatures rise, these cold-blooded creatures become more active and search for refuge in places like under rocks, in burrows, or even in buildings.
