ACTOR and host Qi Razali has clarified that he harboured no ill feelings toward OAG’s vocalist, Radhi, despite officially leaving the band last year.

The 47-year-old Qi shared that while their relationship remained cordial, it was no longer as close as it once was.

“We are not enemies. We are still friends, but is not really close like before. We each have our own paths. He is with OAG, and I am with a new band,” Qi said.

Asked about the formation of the new band called The Exact, Qi emphasised that it was not a move to compete with Radhi, although the band included former OAG members.

“Sure, people will make comparisons because we are former members of OAG.

“The five of us have unanimously agreed that Radhi is OAG, and OAG is Radhi. We’ve chosen to carve out our own musical path.

“However, if we are ever asked to perform together, I have no issues with that. We always wish him success, and we hope he wishes us the same.

“But I feel that now is not the right time for a collab. But in the future, who knows? We won’t rule out the possibility,” Qi said.

“But my journey with OAG has come to an end. To me, that chapter is closed, and I want to explore a new one with The Exact.

“Now it’s time for me to embrace new music and start from scratch,” he explained.

Qi acknowledged that forming The Exact was a continuation of his musical career after parting ways with OAG.

He now performs alongside members Amer, Nizam, Ammal Bellamy, Nazrin, and Eric.

The band has recently released two songs, “Belum Pasti” and “Break Me”, and is planning to launch an EP in the near future.
