KUCHING: A cervical cancer screening and awareness campaign was organised for the community in Baleh by Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) in collaboration with the ROSE Foundation and Pertubuhan Komuniti Harapan Orang Ulu Kuching (PKHOUK).

The campaign introduced the HPV PCR self-sampling method for early cervical cancer detection where over 100 screenings were conducted successfully at various locations.

Sarawak Energy project service senior manager Sharina Bohari said the collaborative effort was to ensure the wellbeing of the community as well as their health.

“This campaign is a call to action for the prevention of a disease that is the third-most prevalent cancer among women.
