KUCHING: A 15-year-old suspect was arrested yesterday afternoon for raping an underage girl.
Sarawak CID chief SAC Dennis Leong confirmed that a rape case report lodged by a 15-year-old girl was received on Wednesday.
The girl revealed that in early June this year she befriended a boy. After a week of friendship her male friend took her to a recreational ground at Wisma Bapa Malaysia here where he raped her.
The case is classified as rape under Section 376 of the Penal Code.
