Rare Giant Voodoo Lily blooms at Gunung Gading

KUCHING: Visitors to Gunung Gading National Park are in for a treat as another of the park’s botanical giants has blossomed alongside the magnificent Rafflesia.

The park announced in a Facebook post that the rare Amorphophallus hewittii or better known as Giant Voodoo Lily, is in bloom, displaying an impressive diameter of 101.5 centimetres.

Visitors are encouraged to head to the park soon to catch a glimpse of these extraordinary natural wonders.

With both the Rafflesia and the Giant Voodoo Lily blooming at the same time, the park is expecting increased interest from nature lovers eager to witness the two giant flowers.

Gunung Gading National Park is open daily from 8 am to 5 pm, however, visitors are advised to take note of safety precautions.

For the safety of visitors, the park will be closed immediately during windy, stormy or heavy rainy weather.
