KUCHING: Sarawak’s Razie Rafizzie Razali has emerged as one to watch ahead of SUKMA 2026 after winning the men’s open 51kg category at the Perlis International ‘Fight Night’ 3.0 2026.
The 18-year-old Kuching-born athlete defeated Afiq Amsyar of Padimas Club, Penang via technical knockout (TKO) during the bout held at Dataran Lok 9, Kuala Perlis last weekend.
The victory also earned him the championship belt.
“Sufficiently impressive performance displayed by Razie at the tournament.
“We did not expect him to produce such an extraordinary result. In any case, congratulations and well done to him,” Sarawak SUKMA Muaythai head coach Ajan Putra told Sarawak Tribune.
He said the success achieved by his athlete was the result of hard work and determination displayed throughout the final match.
“Indeed, at the beginning of the contest, Rafizzie was given a tough challenge by his opponent.
“However, he managed to absorb the pressure and win the fight,” he added.
Sarawak State Muaythai Association (PMNS) president Jumaat Ibrahim also expressed his delight over Razie’s achievement at the tournament.
“Congratulations to Razie Rafizzie Razali on the success achieved in the competition.
“We hope it will serve as motivation for him ahead of the actual SUKMA Games later on,” said Jumaat.
Jumaat added that the achievement would also inspire Razie’s teammates.
