One of my earliest recollections, I recall
Is in reaching out for the light, aflickering
I had to crawl on all fours, to that light
For it has somehow, consumed my being!
In reaching out to grab a burning lamp
I burnt my baby fingers on the hot wax
But to my tender heart, I have stayed true

Now that I am older, I’m still reaching out
And will continue — to keep reaching out
For in the whole scheme of the eternity
This lifetime is just, a half breath long
Still, there is life in every moment thereof!
Yes, in every moment of that half breath
So keep on reaching out, yes, for as long

Be sure to live every moment you have!
Waste not a moment, on useless emotions
For your every thought, will surely feed
Your positive dreams, or your nightmares
They are just memories from your past life
A life made up of the spent moments
The wake up ideas, or the passive thoughts

The high station you seek, is not by study
Nor by piety; for it goes well beyond
Just like you can’t talk yourself to be:
At the mountain top, or at your apex best
You’ll have to make the climb, to get there
Recall — that you are the salt of the earth
So do add, a little flavour to the world!

Be, of the people who change the world
Have the presence — and do care enough
What you seek, is not somewhere out there
But is in the quietude, and the deep reflection
So instead of running all over the place
Dive deeper into the pool, yes just dive in!
For the calm which you seek, lies within
