MIRI: Physical works for the upgraded Redline stretch of the Pan Borneo Highway under Package WPC11 (Sg Tangap – Pujut Link Road) have reached 99.98 per cent completion and are expected to be fully completed by Nov 17.

Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said that the Beluru Section under the same package was completed ahead of schedule and received its Certificate of Practical Completion (CPC) on Nov 30, 2024.

“One of the key engineering achievements under this package is the construction of the Lambir Viaduct Bridge — a 301.2-metre-long structure comprising 10 spans and 88 bored piles measuring 1,200 millimetres in diameter,” Nanta said in his official Facebook post after his inspection of the project site recently.

He explained that the viaduct was built as a technical solution following ground movement issues that had delayed the overall progress of the Pan Borneo Highway in Sarawak.

“With a project allocation of more than RM57 million, the viaduct was fully opened to traffic on Sept 17, 2025,” he added.

Nanta reaffirmed that the Works Ministry, Public Works Department (PWD) Sarawak, and their project partners remain committed to ensuring the Pan Borneo Highway is built with the highest standards.

“This demonstrates our firm commitment to ensuring every stone and every metre of the Pan Borneo Highway is built with safety, quality, and sustainability as our top priorities,” he said.
