KUALA LUMPUR: Pavilion REIT Malls are turning their three flagship shopping havens in stages, aligning itself with the upcoming Malaysia’s 68th National Day by rolling out themed campaigns featuring art, film, fashion and fitness that run until mid-September.

The ‘Inilah Kita’ campaign has been launched with the Ministry of National Unity at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.

It includes cultural performances, festive decorations, and a collaborative mural titled ‘Seni Persahabatan’ by Izzati Suza, Riynn Lee and Karthine Maniam.

Pavilion KL also hosted the gala premiere of Chong Keat Aun’s film ‘Pavane For An Infant’, which drew more than 11,000 people and featured appearances by actresses, Fish Liew and Natalie Hsu.

Following this, a two-day showcase on August 23 to 24 will feature performances from Misha Omar, Jaclyn Victor, Shila Amzah and Hong Kong actors Lai Lok-Yi and Ali Lee.

Shoppers spending RM500 in a single receipt can redeem a Pavilion Crystal Fountain coaster set.

Meanwhile, Pavilion Bukit Jalil is running its ‘Together, We Celebrate’ campaign with a focus on wellness and cultural creativity.

Free fitness classes are being offered in collaboration with Anytime Fitness until September 14, while a Li-Ning Sports Day will be held from August 26 to 31.

Students of Primrose Hill International School in vibrant Malaysian attire perform classic patriotic songs such as ‘Rasa Sayang’, ‘Tanggal 31’ and ‘Saya Anak Malaysia’ during the ‘Serasa Merdeka’ campaign launch.

Meanwhile, a 5KM Merdeka Fun Run is scheduled for August 30.

The mall is also staging Tinta Merdeka, a batik-based exhibition created by UCSI Group students, alongside workshops and activities.

Intermark Mall has launched ‘Serasa Merdeka’, which runs until September 7 and highlights food, fashion and art.

The campaign opened with a student-led fashion showcase under the mentorship of designer, Carven Ong.
