SARIKEI: Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina (SJKC) Nam Kiew here received an allocation amounting to RM53,000 from Repok assemblyman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii on Wednesday (Aug 19).

The allocation, which is under the rural transformation programme (RTP) 2020, was aimed to upgrade the school’s facilities.

Previously, SJKC Nam Kiew received an allocation of RM66,780 (RTP 2017), and RM50,000 (RTP 2019).

Speaking to New Sarawak Tribune, Huang stressed that the infrastructure development of schools is one of his responsibilities as a people’s representative.

“A school is a platform for students to become a useful human capital in the future.

“Therefore, every school should have adequate infrastructure and complete learning,” he added.
