BINTULU: A total of 160 pupils from SJK Chung Hua here received eyeglasses donated by Tanjong Batu assemblyman Johnny Pang during a presentation ceremony at the school recently.
According to Pang, the donation is part of an ongoing initiative by the Tanjong Batu Constituency Service Center to assist low-income families, with plans to extend similar aid to pupils in two other schools in the near future.
Pang shared that he was deeply moved when one pupil personally expressed their gratitude.
“He thanked me because he can now clearly see the blackboard, especially since he sits in the back row,” he said.
He added that such assistance, although seemingly small, holds significant meaning for the recipients.
“I hope these eyeglasses will help them focus better in their studies and enjoy an improved educational environment,” he added.
