BINTULU: Tanjong Batu assemblyman Johnny Pang Leong Ming has initiated the Tabung Inspirasi Skim Simpanan Pendidikan Nasional Anak Tanjong Batu (TISPATB) aimed at supporting students from low-income families in the area.
He shared this during a courtesy visit from representatives of the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) Sarawak, Miri Branch, led by its Sales manager Izzatur Rahman at his office in the Tanjong Batu Constituency Service Centre on Monday.
The TISPATB programme is expected to benefit around 500 primary and secondary school students from the B40 group in the Tanjong Batu state constituency, through the opening of SSPN accounts and initial savings deposits under the National Education Savings Scheme.
According to Pang, the programme’s implementation reflects his ongoing commitment to enhancing educational wellbeing for children in Tanjong Batu in line with the goals of inclusive social development.
“I am fully committed to ensuring the successful implementation of programmes like TISPATB because they have a direct impact on the future of our children. Not only does it help parents plan for education expenses, but it also nurtures a culture of saving from an early age,” he said.
He also welcomed continued cooperation between PTPTN and schools to ensure the aid reaches its intended target groups efficiently and comprehensively.
TISPATB marks another proactive initiative by the Tanjong Batu assemblyman to close the education gap while building a solid foundation for the future generation in the constituency.
