MIRI: A 10-foot long python was rescued in the wee hours of Wednesday after it was spotted slithering at the garage roof of a house in Kampung Raan, Bakam.

The reptile was spotted around 1.28 am by the 49-year-old house owner, who at that time was checking his chicken pens.

Prior to that, the man had heard alarming noises coming from the chicken coop.

Fortunately, none of his chickens were missing during the reptile intrusion.

A team of Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) personnel was mobilised to the scene and helped rescue the reptile.

The reptile was then released to its natural habitat.
