MIRI: The construction of retaining walls along the Bungai and Kampung Kuala Sibuti coastlines in the Sibuti parliamentary is likely to be implemented in the third rolling plan of the 12th Malaysia Plan (12MP).

With the implementation of these projects, Sibuti MP Lukanisman Awang Sauni said it would be a long-term solution to further prevent erosion in the area.

Lukanisman was met on Tuesday (May 17) at his service centre in Taman Tunku here, and revealed that each project was estimated to be around RM10mil to RM12mil.

“We hope that these projects could be implemented within three years after Budget 2023 is announced.”

At the same time, he is also trying to get funding from the government to help control soil erosion in highland areas within his constituency.
