KUCHING: The formulation of the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP) 2026-2030 was anchored on the 3R principles: Revisit, Rethink and Recharge, to reflect on lessons learned, refine strategies for greater impact and renew Sarawak’s drive toward its 2030 vision.
State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki said firstly, the state will address implementation bottlenecks to ensure faster and more effective delivery of ongoing projects.
“Secondly, we consolidate results and outcome from the 12MP and PCDS 2030, scaling up initiatives that have proven successful
“Thirdly, we chart a forward-looking path, capturing emerging opportunities and fostering innovation and high-impact public and private investments for Sarawak’s future growth,” he said.
He said this during the launching of 13MP for the period 2026-2030, officiated by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg in conjunction with the Sarawak Economy Conference 2025 here today.
Abu Bakar added that the 13MP therefore represents a whole-of government and whole-of-society effort, built on inclusivity and a firm commitment to ensure that no one is left behind as Sarawak moves towards 2030.
“With the 13MP now serving as our strategic compass for the next five years, the focus must shift from planning to execution.
“Turning vision into results requires strong governance, disciplined delivery, and the unwavering dedication of the Sarawak Civil Service (SCS).
“The SCS will remain committed to implement the 13MP with excellence, integrity and accountability. We will focus on execution, delivery, and results, ensuring that the benefits of development reach every corner of Sarawak,” he said.
Under the visionary leadership of the Premier, and with the collective effort of ministries, agencies and partners, Abu Bakar is confident that Sarawak will achieve the aspirations of the 13MP.
“Together, we will deliver tangible outcomes that enhance the well-being of our people and strengthen Sarawak’s competitiveness.
“As we embark on the Sarawak 13MP, let us move forward with unity, purpose and determination, turning plans into actions and actions into impact,” he said.
