SIBU: Rimbunan Hijau Group (RHG) held a safety and security meeting on Tuesday in conjunction with its golden jubilee celebrations.
The meeting was attended by Sibu Division Resident Abang Mohamad Porkan Abang Budiman, Sibu police chief ACP Zulkipli Suhaili, Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Zone 4 chief Andy Alie, University of Technology Sarawak (UTS) vice-chancellor Prof. Datuk Dr Khairuddin Abdul Hamid, representatives from the District Office, various government departments, and event partners.
In the meeting, managing director Datuk Tiong Thai King said the group seek valuable cooperation and assistance from the governmental authorities in managing traffic and crowd control during the three key highlights of the celebration.
They are the Mini Sports Day on April 26, RHG50 Half Marathon on May 4, and RHG’s 50th Anniversary Gala Dinner on May 13.
“We understand the logistical challenges these events may pose and are fully committed to working hand in hand with your respective departments to ensure public safety and seamless execution,” he said.
Tiong also commended the governmental authorities and relevant agencies for their professionalism, guidance and efficiency throughout the planning stages of RHG50 over the past few months.
