SIBU: The Rimbunan Hijau (RH) building is more than just a structure – it stands as a symbol of corporate culture, spirit, and enduring strength, says Datuk Tiong Thai King.

The RH Group Managing Director said the building has witnessed five decades of the company’s growth and transformation, and holds within its walls the aspirations and efforts of every employee.
“It serves as a beacon of unity and a platform that reflects our identity as we look forward to the future,” he said in his welcoming speech at the launch of the RH Building’s new façade and interior renovations here today.
The launch was officiated by Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian, representing Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
Tiong added that as they navigate the current fast-evolving era, marked by new work paradigms, technological advancement, and innovations in artificial intelligence, it is essential for them to evolve as well.
“To meet the needs of the present and prepare for the future, we have made a bold decision to upgrade and renovate our headquarters,” he said.
He added that the project is not merely a physical transformation but a revitalisation of their corporate values and spirit.
“Guided by the principles of high standards, smart technologies, green and low-carbon development, and people-centric design, the upgraded Menara Rimbunan Hijau will feature a fully enhanced façade and interior layout.
“It will incorporate intelligent office systems and create a working environment that is modern, efficient, environmentally sustainable, and above all, human-centred,” he said.
Moving forward, he added that the group will serve not only as a workplace but also as an engine for innovation and development, a nurturing home for employee wellbeing, a platform for collaborative success with partners, and a vital window through which society perceives their values and vision.
“We are confident that this upgraded headquarters will mark a new beginning as the RH Group moves towards even greater achievements. This upgrade represents a new challenge; this renewal begins a new journey.
“With the spirit of craftsmanship and a commitment to scientific management, we aim to deliver a headquarters that is functionally advanced, visually distinctive, environmentally conscious, and a model for modern corporate buildings.
“Let us look forward together to a renewed Menara Rimbunan Hijau, rising proudly on the banks of the Rajang River—continuing our legacy and writing bold new chapters in the history of the Rimbunan Hijau Group,” he said.
