BAU: A total of RM1 million has been allocated under the Agriculture Facilitation Fund (AFF) to support 31 coffee farmers in Kampung Stenggang in developing the local coffee farming industry.

Opar assemblyman Billy Sujang said that the funds will be used for infrastructure improvements, including land clearing, the construction of agricultural roads, fertiliser distribution, and other essential facilities.

“We hope that with this initiative, the coffee processing plant in Mambong will be able to facilitate the processing of harvests from Kampung Stenggang in the future,” he said during a dialogue and briefing session on the coffee planting project at Kampung Stenggang today (March 3).

Additionally, an agricultural road worth RM1.2 million will be constructed in Kampung Stenggang to further support the project’s development.

A total of 31 participants have been selected for the initiative, covering a planting area of 30 hectares.
