BAU: A total of RM11 million has been allocated under the Greater Kuching Coordinated Development Agency (GKCDA) fund to implement the House-to-House Road Paving Project in the Opar constituency.
Opar assemblyman Billy Sujang said RM1.3 million will be used to carry out the project in eight villages within the Bau district administrative area.
The announcement was made during the project’s launch in Kampung Sepadah on Monday (Dec 16).
“The allocation enable various development projects to be realised to ensure that Opar does not lag behind, especially compared to other more developed Bidayuh constituencies,” he said.
Projects currently being implemented and planned include the construction of agricultural roads, multipurpose halls, and the installation of street lights in villages around the area.
He also expressed his commitment to ensuring that all allocations are utilised transparently and efficiently to improve the quality of life for residents.
