KUALA LUMPUR: A city resident who won the Magnum 4D Jackpot prize of over RM11 million here recently plans on making his wife’s dreams come true.
The winner, who prefers to remain anonymous, had never seriously imagined hitting the jackpot.
Inspired by stories of small bets leading to big wins, he bought a ticket without high expectations.
A cryptic piece of advice from a feng shui master – “Pay attention to numbers if you visit your cousin’s house soon” – eventually led him to select the winning combination.
For years, the man had quietly regretted never being able to take his wife abroad – she didn’t even have a passport.
“She stood by me through everything,” he said, adding, “now, I finally have the chance to give her the memories we’ve always dreamed about.”
In addition to fulfilling his travel promise, the winner plans to use a portion of the winnings to settle outstanding loans and secure his family’s financial future.
