DARO: The Acute Water Shortage Mitigation Project in Pangtrey is expected to serve as the primary solution to water supply issues in Daro, including nearby areas such as Matu.
Daro assemblyman Safiee Ahmad expressed his commitment to monitoring the progress of the RM12.5 million project closely.
“The plant is currently under construction and is expected to significantly enhance the water supply system’s capacity,” he said during a visit to the project site following a briefing on the Water Supply Project in Daro at the Daro District Office recently.
The briefing on the Water Supply Project in the Daro area was successfully conducted, chaired by Safiee himself.
Meanwhile, the Divisional Water Engineer from the Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB) Mukah Division, Abang Ismail Abang Selim, delivered the briefing.
He explained the main causes of water supply disruptions, highlighting the technical and infrastructure challenges faced by JBALB.
According to him, several projects have been implemented or are underway to address these issues.
He also presented the status of various ongoing projects, emphasising short-term solutions and future plans to ensure a more stable supply of clean water for residents.
