THE RM17 million approved this year was for infrastructure development such as road construction, electricity and water supply, said Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment Assistant Minister Datuk Len Talif Salleh.
“The infrastructure construction work is expected to begin in the third quarter of this year and to be completed next year,” he said during the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) sitting yesterday.

Len explained further that the Land Custody and Development Authority had completed site clearing and earth filling works for housing sites in 2016 with an allocation of RM5mil.
“Whereas, the preparation of commercial sites was completed in 2017 with an allocation of RM10mil,” he added.
Meanwhile, other projects under the 11th Malaysia Plan (RMK) involved 68 units of housing on 8.5 acres of land and a commercial centre.
“The commercial centre will include a hawker centre, a mini mart and other businesses and that will commence end of next year and expected to complete in RMK12,” he said, replying to a supplementary question from Datuk Ranum Mina (GPS-Opar).
