“Education is an investment in our future. Ensuring that our schools are properly equipped and well-maintained is essential to supporting students’ learning and overall development,” he said during his working site visit to the school on Wednesday.

The handover was carried out alongside a monitoring visit to review the progress of Phase 2 upgrading works under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP), a project with an allocation of RM300,000.

“The upgrades focus on improving the school infrastructure to enhance safety, functionality and comfort for the school community,” he said.

Yap emphasised the importance of close supervision to ensure that government-funded projects are implemented efficiently and deliver real benefits to the people.

“This monitoring exercise is part of our responsibility to ensure that RTP projects are completed according to specifications, on schedule and truly meet the needs of the community,” he stressed.

He expressed his appreciation to the school management, PTA, implementing agencies and contractors for their cooperation and reiterated that he will continue to prioritise education and grassroots needs in his constituency.
