DEBAK: The construction of a new erosion control barrier at the Debak Community Centre has been successfully completed at a cost of RM200,000.

The project was officially launched today in a symbolic ceremony officiated by Women, Early Childhood, and Community Wellbeing Development (Community Wellbeing Development) Deputy Minister, Datuk Mohammad Razi Sitam.

The initiative aims to address soil erosion issues that threaten the safety and stability of the area surrounding the Debak Community Centre, ultimately benefiting the local community in the long term.

Razi said that the construction of the erosion barrier not only addresses a physical challenge faced by the community but also paves the way for enhancing and beautifying the surrounding landscape.

“This is part of our ongoing effort to ensure public facilities are not only safe but also pleasant and appealing for public use,” he said.

He also emphasised that the state government remains committed to strengthening rural infrastructure for the wellbeing of the people.
