THE Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has submitted a request for a RM30 million allocation to support infrastructure development and building works for 40 units of Rumah Spektra Permata (RSP) under the RPR Pusa housing project.

Deputy Minister of Public Health, Housing and Local Government Datuk Michael Tiang said the funding is being sought under a Sarawak government-funded initiative within the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP).

“The construction of the infrastructure and building works are expected to be completed within 24 months from the site possession,” he said.

He said this during the question-and-answer session at the Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN) sitting here today (May 20).

Earlier, Razaili Gapor (GPS-Beting Maro) had queried on the RSP project for the RPR Pusa.

Tiang added HDC has been allocated a ceiling of RM1.5 million by the Sarawak government under the 12th Malaysia Plan (12MP) to carry out the submission of a revised plan, as well as the preparation of a sub-division blocking plan and survey blocking plan.

On the current status of the redevelopment of RPR Pusa, Tiang said the State Planning Authority (SPA) approved the project on February 20, 2023, while the sub-division blocking plan was approved by the Land and Survey Department Betong on March 13 of the same year.

In response to a supplementary question, Tiang also confirmed that the redevelopment plan for RPR Pusa includes a total of 136 RSP detached housing units.
