KUCHING: A long-awaited RM30-million sports complex is set to be built in Kabong.
Kabong assemblyman Datuk Mohd Chee Kadir said the mega project is currently in the final stage of site selection and is fully funded through the Betong Division Development Agency (BDDA).
“This complex will include a grandstand with a 300-spectator capacity, a football field equipped with an underground drainage system, an administrative block, a multi-purpose indoor hall, a synthetic running track, and a futsal court,” he said.
He said this after chairing a meeting at the Petra Jaya State Stadium here today.
He added that the development is not just about constructing buildings, but it also reflects the state government’s commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles and youth development in rural Sarawak.
“As the local representative, I hope this project proceeds smoothly so that its benefits can be fully enjoyed, not only by the youth but by the entire Kabong community,” he added.
