KUCHING: The Magistrate’s Court fined a local man RM3,000 or, in default, six months in prison for damaging his father’s massage machine last week.
Lu Jin Peng, 32, pleaded guilty before Magistrate Syarifah Fatimah Azura Wan Alwi to a charge under Section 427 of the Penal Code.
The offence occurred at a house on Jalan Penrissen at around 10 am on Dec 11.
According to the facts of the case, Lu’s father found him abusing drugs in the kitchen, with items scattered messily on the floor.
Upset, the father reprimanded him and reminded him of his earlier promise to quit using drugs. Lu reportedly stayed silent but glared at his father.
Shortly after, the father went to his bedroom and discovered his Ogawa massage machine damaged. Concerned that his son might become aggressive, he lodged a police report, leading to Lu’s arrest on Dec 12.
Investigations revealed that Lu caused RM600 in damages to the massage machine.
ASP Arman Ibrahim prosecuted the case, while Lu was unrepresented.
