BINTANGOR: A total of RM41,500 in Minor Rural Project (MRP) grants has been allocated to 10 recipients, including schools, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and neighbourhood committees (KRT) in the Meradong constituency.

Meradong Assemblyman, Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing, said each MRP application must be supported by clear objectives and detailed specifications to ensure the funds are fully utilised for the benefit of the community.

“The state government’s priority through MRP is to support local communities in carrying out small-scale projects with direct impact, including infrastructure upgrades, education, welfare and social activities,” he said.

He said this when presenting the grants at the Meradong Service Centre today.

Ding also reminded all recipients to plan their applications carefully and realistically, taking into account local needs, and to use the funds prudently, transparently and responsibly.

“I hope every allocation spent will truly benefit the communities we represent and contribute to improving the people’s well-being,” he added.
