The Borneo Evangelical Mission in Kampung Serasot received RM200,000, while St Mark’s Church in Stass was allocated RM240,000, bringing the combined amount to RM440,000.

Deputy Minister for Transport and Tasik Biru assemblyman Datuk Henry Harry Jinep presented the grants to representatives of the two churches during the National Malaya and Borneo Veterans Association Australia Inc Operation Hornbill 2026 Stass Chapter Reunion Dinner at the Kampung Krawong Stass Community Hall on Monday (Aug 24).

According to an earlier report, the two grants form part of the RM34.87 million approved for 148 houses of worship projects under the first phase of UNIFOR’s allocation this year.

The funding was channelled through 45 Members of Parliament and assemblymen for approved projects within their respective constituencies.

Both allocations will support development works at the recipient churches.
