KUCHING: The special financial assistance of RM500 to all federal civil servants serving in Sarawak will be paid in May, a month earlier than scheduled.
Some 126,000 government employees will be getting the incentives, said State Secretary Datuk Amar Jaul Samion in a media statement yesterday.
Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg made the announcement during the State Civil Service Day on Sept 4, last year.
At that time, the chief minister said it would be paid in June.
