KANOWIT: Minor Rural Project (MRP) funds amounting to RM752,000 was distributed to 85 recipients in the Ngemah constituency under phase one of the 2025 allocations.
The cheques were handed over by Ngemah assemblyman, Anyi Jana, during a simple event at Hock Seng Guan yesterday, with recipients comprising village security and development committees (JKKKs), the District Education Office (PPD), various associations, and clubs.
Speaking at the event, Anyi reiterated his commitment to ensuring fair distribution of MRP allocations throughout his five-year term.
“There are 260 entities in the Ngemah constituency, including JKKKs, schools, churches, associations and clubs.
“As the elected representative, I will do my best to ensure the MRP is distributed fairly,” he said.
Anyi also called on constituents to rally behind any Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) candidate who may be fielded in Ngemah in the next state election.
“I urge all residents of Ngemah to stay united and give their full support to any GPS candidate nominated, whether it is me or someone else,” he added.
Also present were Kanowit District Office representative, Clinton Jelai, and other distinguished guests.
