MIRI: Two roads will be fully closed for the forthcoming Miri City Car-Free Day 2025 on May 3.
The Miri City Council (MCC), in a notice, said the affected roads are Jalan Marina Utama and Jalan Bandaraya.
Road closures will be implemented from 5.30 am until 11.00 am as the Car-Free Day’s route will start and end at MCC premises.
Hence, the public is advised to plan their journeys accordingly to minimise disruptions.
The Miri City Car-Free Day programme is part of the Miri May Fest 20th Anniversary celebration, with a line-up of activities being held from 7.30 am to 10.00 am.
Among them are fun walk, fun run, fun ride, a Zumba session, pickleball matches, taekwondo exhibition, traditional archery, and a variety of sports.
