MIRI: The Miri City Council has announced that tree pruning operations will be carried out along Miri-Pujut Road from February 21 to February 28.
In a statement, the Miri City Council advised road users to take precautions as the works will take place in two daily time slots at 9 am to 11am and 2.30 pm to 4 pm.
“The affected areas include road verges from the junction off Jalan Cosmos 2 to the junction off Jalan Acacia. The council has urged motorists and pedestrians to avoid the affected stretch for safety reasons,
“Miri City Council will not be held liable for any damage, injury, or loss that may occur in these areas,” it said.
In the event of bad weather, the pruning operations will be rescheduled accordingly.
“The council also apologised for any inconvenience and thanked the public for their understanding,” it added.
