Royal guests grace RWMF 2025 opening night

KUCHING: The Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) 2025 opened with a touch of royal grandeur as the Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, and Raja Puan Muda Tuanku Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil made a special appearance at the Sarawak Cultural Village last night (June 20).

Their arrival at around 8.40pm was warmly welcomed by Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah and his wife, along with Deputy Minister Datuk Gerald Rentap Jabu and his wife.

The royal presence added a ceremonial note to the night’s festivities and was warmly received by the crowd.

Their Royal Highnesses are also scheduled to attend the Gawai Dayak 2025 Parade at Square Tower, Kuching Waterfront today.

Also spotted among the attendees were Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Labour, Immigration and Project Monitoring) Datuk Gerawat Gala and Sarawak Tourism Board Chairman Datuk Dennis Ngau.
