SIBU: The Rancangan Sibu 1 (RS1) team organised ‘meet-the-people’ sessions at Ulu Sungai Merah and Kampung Sentosa last weekend. Both sessions received overwhelming responses from the local residents. Each session, which ran from 9am to noon, included various activities slated for the local community.
The RS1 members distributed application forms for the 1Malaysia People’s Aid (BR1M), help locals check their voter’s status and also conducted mass health checks.
They also provided the visitors with information about the recruitment for community police.
The team was led by chairman of RS1 Dato Andrew Wong. The RS1 team’s next ‘meet-thepeople’ session will take place at Kampung Jeriah on Jan 13 and Belatok on Jan 14 from 9am to 12pm.
