KUCHING: The Sarawak Road Transport Department (RTD) issued a total of 360 non-compliance notices for various offences yesterday (Dec 31).
These notices were issued during 2,310 inspections conducted under ‘Op Khas Motosikal’ operations across Sarawak.
Among the offences detected were driving without licence, possessing expired road tax, transporting dangerous loads for commercial vehicles, use of high-intensity discharge (HID) lights, technical violations and others.
RTD stressed that such operation was implemented to monitor, detect and act against road users, especially motorcyclists, who fail to comply and commit offences under the Road Transport Act 1987 and the Rules thereunder.
In light of this, the department reminded all road users to always adhere to traffic laws that are enforced.
The public can send traffic complaints directly through the e-Aduan@jpj application or http://jpj.spab.gov.my with accompanying details.
