KUCHING: Thirty-two families from Rumah Peter Igoh in Nanga Mujan Skrang that were affected by the fire in Betong have been transferred to a temporary relief centre (PPS) at Dewan Johnical Rayong in Engkelili.

According to a spokesperson for the Civil Defence Force (APM), the PPS was opened at 6.30pm yesterday to cater for the fire victims.

“A total of 148 individuals from 32 families were evacuated to the PPS with the help of APM personnel.

“They comprised 65 men, 58 women, 14 children, and 11 senior citizens,” the spokesperson said.
