MOSCOW: The Russian government said on Monday that it had imposed a ban on the export of jet fuel from Russia, including those purchased at exchange auctions, until November 30.
“The new decree introduced a temporary ban on the export of fuel for jet engines from Russia, including those purchased at stock auctions.
“The restriction will be in effect until November 30, 2026 inclusive,” the government said in a statement, reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti.
The government continues to “work to maintain reliable and uninterrupted supply of fuel to the domestic market,” and the purpose of the decision is to ensure a stable situation in the domestic fuel market, the statement read.
Exceptions to the temporary ban apply, among other things, to fuel in process tanks used by aircraft en route, batches of jet fuel placed under the customs procedure prior to the entry into force of the temporary restriction decree, as well as to supplies under intergovernmental agreements. -BERNAMA-SPUTNIK/RIA NOVOSTI
