KUCHING: Qahirah Maisarah Syahlil from Sabah emerged as the champion at the grand final of the Bintang Kecil 2022.
With her song “Laksamana Raja Di Laut”, a duet with Bintang Kecil Alumni Erin CTJ and her solo “Sumpah”, she managed to defeat the other five contestants and brought home RM20,000 with a trophy and certificate.
Meanwhile, the first runner up Fateeha Nasleen Suhailin from Sabah, brought home RM15,000, while the second runner up Wa’ie Mohd Zain from Johor Bahru, brought home RM10,000.
On top of that, Wa’ie also won the Protege Bintang Pilihan Prodigy award and brought home a digital piano.
The other three contestants Adam Syahmi Mohd Faizul Hafiz from Pahang, Puteri Ainul Farisya Zuraimi from Perlis and Nur Qasih Umairah Abdullah from Sarawak, each won a consolation prize of RM5,000 in addition to a trophy and certificate.
Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah and his wife Datin Seri Zuraini Abdul Jabar were in attendance to present the prizes at Stadium Perpaduan here, yesterday (Dec 24).
