SIBU: The Sarawak United National Youth Organisation (SABERKAS) Pelawan branch distributed more than 500 containers of bubur lambuk yesterday (Mar 9).
The programme, held at Old Airport Road here, was officiated by Deputy Minister of Public Health, Housing and Local Government Datuk Michael Tiang Ming Tee.
Tiang, who is also the Pelawan assemblyman, said the programme was organised by SABERKAS Pelawan in collaboration with the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), and the Civil Defence Force (APM).
“We want to share this blessing with everyone—not only our Muslim friends but also our non-Muslim friends—as we believe this event holds great meaning in bringing us together,” he said in a statement today.
Tiang also extended his appreciation to Liansin for their sponsorship.
“It is very heartwarming when we exchange blessings—not just food, but also the spirit of harmony that we always treasure in Sarawak. This is the beautiful place we live in—a beautiful Sarawak,” he added.
