KUCHING: The “SABERKAS Sports Carnival (KASUS) Kota Sentosa 2025” has been scheduled to take place this Sunday (Aug 17), targeting over 300 participants for a day of competitive and unconventional sports.
The one-day carnival, running from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm at the Sentosa Sports Centre and Theme Park, is organised by the Sarawak United National Youth Organisation (SABERKAS) Kota Sentosa, with Junior Chamber International (JCI) Kuching and the United Sports Recreational Club as co-hosts. Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap Yau Sin will officiate the event.
Futsal, pickleball and nerf gun are the three sports lined up, with cash prizes, medals and trophies up for grabs. Futsal will see 30 teams competing for the top prize of RM1,500, while pickleball winners will receive RM500 and nerf gun champions RM1,000.
The organisers said the carnival is aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles, building networks between NGOs and communities, and nurturing youth leadership in the area.
